Born in the Virgin Islands and raised in Atlanta, Takara Joseph is an Emmy-nominated producer and director, a Film Independent Project Involve Production Fellow, and a Women In Film Emerging Producer Fellow.  


She has also produced several award-winning films including — The Flacalta Effect, other, Junebug, and The Spirit God Gave Us which have screened at major festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival, BlackStar Film Festival, American Black Film Festival, Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival and others. She's also produced commercial and branded content for companies like Apple, Alexander Wang, TikTok, and Ketel One. Her first documentary series, The Black Beauty Effect, is a three-part documentary series capturing the current evolution, revolution, and upheaval in the beauty industry. The series is currently streaming on Netflix. She's currently pitching and in development on both scripted and unscripted projects.

She has managed integrated campaigns, digital content, and large-scale creative initiatives for brands including Delta Air Lines, InterContinental Hotels Group, Comcast, Oprah Winfrey Network and more—guiding projects from concept through delivery while partnering closely with creative, strategy, and marketing teams.
